Roger Sterling: You know what? I am very comfortable with my mind. Thoughts clean and unclean, loving and… the opposite of that. But I am not a woman. And I think it behooves any man to toss all female troubles into the hands of a stranger.

Roger is SO evil.

I don’t see Roger as evil so much as a sad and pathetic figure. He’s just as dissatisfied with his life as Don, or anyone else, but won’t admit it.
The casual racism of most the characters is sad and shocking, but more ignorance and an attempt to fit it. Roger truly is a bigot and he is the boss.
To quote Clarice in Silence of the Lambs after her boss acted sexist (for strategic reasons.)
**Clarice: It matters, Mr. Crawford. Cops look at you to see how to act. It matters.**
He said he lived the last 20 years as if he were on shore leave. A young man on shore leaves is one animal and a man in his middle age on shore leave is something completely different.
The piece of ass line to Joan just floors me. I get it was a compliment, but wow! As to his not caring who knows it? Yeah, right… Mona?
I think John Slattery is charismatic and is terrific in the role, but Roger Sterling is pretty gross.
