The Futon Critic discusses the panel discussion of Mad Men actors, and Matt Weiner, at Paleyfest. He’s asking not to be quoted, just linked to. So click away!
And for our own hullaballoo’s take on it, check out her long, fascinating essay in comments here.
Update: Here’s the Matt Roush write-up.

Hullabaloo, I read it all late last night and I’m with Deb, LOVE your writeup! Plus thanks for saying really, really nice things about the genius that is, as it turns out, us!

Your write-up was 10000000000000x better than Matt Roush’s.
I’m annoyed that he kept writing Sterling as “Roger Stirling”.
What.A.Complete.Idiot!
Thanks for your wonderful summary of the panel, Hullabaloo.

Aw, shucks. Thanks folks. About the genius issue? Takes one to know one…;-P
I can’t believe Roush gets paid to do his job. He’s supposedly well-regarded in criticism and entertainment journalism circles. Unbelievable.

Roush did okay with the Buffy Panel though. I wasn’t there, but read tons about it. The only complaint I’d heard was that he didn’t have enough control.
I suppose he can’t be a fan of everything.

Hullaballoo, thanks for the write-up. I read it really fast yesterday and enjoyed it but need to read it slower in order to absorb it all. But thanks for the hard work. Psst, did you happen to watch the pilot, by any chance?
