(Really I just wanted to use that line.)
But I am sitting here watching the brilliant and pivotal episode six; Babylon (from whence the brilliant and pivotal line ‘basket of kisses’ was extracted) and they are just chopping it to shit with the commercial breaks. Commercial/one tiny scene (the ‘basket of kisses scene)/more commercials!
Ridiculous.
I’m getting ready to pony up the $25 to iTunes.

I love quotations from Captain Mal Reynolds.
Another thing I miss from the first run are the little intertitles (I think that’s what they’re called) that would give liitle facts about advertising in 1960, relating to and leading into whatever the ensuing commercial was for.

Me too, Mel. But it was Jayne who spoke.
I’ll go with intertitles. I quite enjoyed them. Deb didn’t see them because she tivo’d (or that other non-tivo version) and commercials were cut. I think.

Really? I somehow hear that in Mal’s voice.
I guess I should break down and get the DVD.
And a DVD player.

I need to break down as well.
I just rewatched it last weekend. I oughta be ashamed… only my second viewing ever.
And it was Jayne.
And I wrote it down, and thought, AMC, please piss me off. Soon. ‘Cause of how it fits so well into my little sequence. And it’s Joss.

It’s embarassing for a Joss-head like myself to get the wrong character. Back in the day, I would fill up the Favorite Quotes thread after every BtVS episode *sigh*.
Getting back on-topic, is AMC about damage our calm further by skipping more episodes? The previews showed the episode with Sterling’s heart attack. Isn’t that several episodes ahead of “Babylon?”

It’s 100% Jayne. I think he says it in the movie, on Miranda. He says “she is damaging my calm” talking about River having one of her hairy fits.

IMDb has it as:
Jayne: She is startin’ to damage my calm.
And it’s definitely from the movie.

Oh, I didn’t doubt you were right. Just berating myself for getting it wrong.
